Every Friday, Imperial Middle School will be celebrating the school’s incredible spirit. Students and Staff are being asked to wear school colors or IMS gear on Fridays. The school colors are green and gold. IMS gear could include any sport shirts or sweatshirts. Also included are Pals, ASB or any club sweatshirt or T-shirts.

It’s important to show school spirit to remind students that the school is a unified team. Students and staff need to be working together to provide a healthy and safe place for learning.
Connecticut Association for Schools, says that students with school spirit are more likely to show improvements in academics plus be “more socially and civically engaged.” These students seem to be happier in general than other students. Finally, “the majority of principals (92%) feel that high school spirit is tied to high student achievement.” (School Spirit: Positive Benefits for Students, Connecticut Association for Schools)
